Easter 2008

Should parents feel obligated to do the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus? We do Santa, but the Easter Bunny too? Can't parents do anything for their kids? What do you think? Did you grow up with the Easter Bunny, an Easter basket, an Easter egg hunt, or just a Happy Easter? I don't want Michael or Jaye to be the only ones at school who says, "the Easter Bunny? Nope, he didn't come to my house!" Anyways...Michael and Jaye woke up to Nalgenes, Pez, and Michael received a math stencil and Jaye received a bead lacing kit. It was left to their imaginations who left them there. And of course we always do our big Easter egg hunt complete with paper coupons for stuff they just forget. :)

I never grew up believing in the Easter Bunny OR receiving any Easter gifts from my parents. When I was young, my grandma would give us stuff, but that's all. I never really believed in Santa, either. Now that I think about it, did I even have a childhood?

Kelly was far too advanced to believe in Santa at any point of her childhood. Let her be an example that striving to be an adult at the age of 6 is what is best for all of us :) I did hear once that she demanded a photo shoot of herself as a little girl. Guess she had other things rather than santa and the easter bunny on her mind.

Wow. Thanks, Jason. And for the record, I'm pretty sure I didn't demand the photo shoot...
