Easter 2008

Should parents feel obligated to do the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus? We do Santa, but the Easter Bunny too? Can't parents do anything for their kids? What do you think? Did you grow up with the Easter Bunny, an Easter basket, an Easter egg hunt, or just a Happy Easter? I don't want Michael or Jaye to be the only ones at school who says, "the Easter Bunny? Nope, he didn't come to my house!" Anyways...Michael and Jaye woke up to Nalgenes, Pez, and Michael received a math stencil and Jaye received a bead lacing kit. It was left to their imaginations who left them there. And of course we always do our big Easter egg hunt complete with paper coupons for stuff they just forget. :)

1908

March 18th, 2008! Today is Grandpa King's birthday. He would have been 100! That is amazing. He would have been sporting his green hair yesterday. I miss him and his random comments about things. 100!

You're IT!

So here is a question for you:
What did you and/or your friends call the spot where you could not be tagged during the popular children's game "tag"? This all comes about, because my husband had never heard of the term I used for that special place while playing tag today with the kids. I look forward to your COMMENTS! :)

Big Mike is HOME!!!

It is so nice having Big Mike on U.S. soil. When he called this morning I was so excited to hear his voice. We love our bummer.

Daddy...say "cut"

I think I am glad Jeff didn't "cut," because that way we got to see a lot more muscle poses.

A good Sunday!

I love these people. Today was "church day" as the kids call it. We don't watch TV the mornings before church. The kids know this and they don't even ask anymore. I love our mornings before church. Michael was super excited this morning to get his new haircut and Jaye, although fighting a nasty cold, was in a very bubbly happy-go-lucky mood. We also had the annual Community Fair after church. It is nice to get out into the community and see everyone. It also has awesome food from all the local restaurants. Yum yum.
